Cocoa Powder
Cocoa powder contains high concentrations of theobromine and caffeine, both of which are dangerous to pets. Because it is so concentrated, even a small spoonful can be life-threatening for a small dog or cat. Signs of toxicity usually appear within a few hours and can progress to seizures and abnormal heart rhythms. Immediate veterinary treatment greatly improves the outcome.
