Cucumber

Cucumbers are an excellent low-calorie treat, especially for overweight dogs. They are composed mostly of water, making them hydrating on hot days. Cats may ignore cucumber or accept a small piece.

Never feed pickles, which contain salt, vinegar, and spices that can upset a pet's stomach. Plain raw cucumber is best. Cut it into small pieces to prevent choking, and supervise your pet while eating.
