Cyclamen
Cyclamen is a winter-blooming houseplant with upswept petals in shades of pink, red, and white. While the flowers and leaves can cause mild stomach upset, the root or tuber contains the highest concentration of saponins and can be life-threatening if ingested.
Pets that chew the root may experience severe vomiting, abnormal heart rhythms, and seizures. Because of the serious risk, cyclamen should be kept completely away from pets, and emergency care should be sought after any significant ingestion.
Is Cyclamen Safe for Dogs?
The root is most toxic and can cause vomiting, heart rhythm changes, and seizures.
Is Cyclamen Safe for Cats?
