Deadly Nightshade
Deadly nightshade is a branching perennial with dull purple bell-shaped flowers and shiny black berries. It contains tropane alkaloids that disrupt the nervous system.
Ingestion of leaves or berries is a medical emergency for pets. Pets should not be allowed to forage in unmanaged lots or roadsides where this plant may grow.
Is Deadly Nightshade Safe for Dogs?
Extremely toxic; can cause paralysis, seizures, coma, and death.
