Mayapple
Mayapple is a native woodland plant with large umbrella-like leaves. The roots and leaves contain podophyllotoxin, and the unripe fruit is also dangerous.
Dogs that dig up mayapple roots or eat the fruit can become seriously ill. Keep pets out of wooded areas where mayapple grows densely.
Is Mayapple Safe for Dogs?
